Accessibility Statement

Effective date: 4 November 2026 · Last updated: 4 November 2026

In short: we want everyone to be able to use this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Some parts do not meet it yet, and we list them below. If anything is hard to use, please tell us.

1. Our commitment

Education Recruitment UK is committed to making education-recruitment.co.uk accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.

2. What we have done

  • Pages use headings and landmarks so screen readers can move around them.
  • Text can be zoomed to 200% without content being lost.
  • The cookie banner and policy pages can be used with a keyboard, show where the focus is, and respect the setting to reduce motion.
  • Images that carry meaning have text descriptions.

3. Changing text size

Most browsers let you zoom the page or make text larger:

  • Windows (all browsers): hold Ctrl and press + to zoom in, or − to zoom out. Ctrl and 0 resets it.
  • Mac (all browsers): hold Command and press + to zoom in, or − to zoom out. Command and 0 resets it.
  • Phones and tablets: pinch to zoom, or increase text size in your device's display settings.

4. Adapting your device

You may find it helpful to change your computer's colours, fonts or pointer size. The steps differ for each device. AbilityNet's My Computer My Way gives free step-by-step guides.

5. Known limitations

We checked the site in November 2026 using automated testing (axe) and manual review. These parts do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA:

  • Orange buttons: white text on our orange buttons has a colour contrast of 2.9:1, below the 4.5:1 required for normal text. We plan to darken the buttons.
  • Enquiry form: our enquiry form is provided by a third party (LeadConnector) and loads from its own website. We cannot fully test or change it. If you cannot use it, contact us another way (see below).
  • Older articles: some older blog articles may have images without full text descriptions.

6. Report a problem or ask for another format

If you find a part of the site you cannot use, or you need information in another format such as large print or plain text, please tell us. Email complaints@education-recruitment.co.uk. Tell us the page and the problem, and we will reply within 5 working days.

7. Review of this statement

This statement was prepared on 4 November 2026 after testing the site. We will review it at least once a year and whenever we make major changes to the site.
